First Bank’s Bucks County branches were happy to help the United Way of Bucks County’s BKO (Bucks Knocks Out Hunger) Food Drive! In a typical June, volunteers from all around the area would get together and work together to package over 100,000 shelf-stable meals for area food pantries. However, since COVID-19 has kept gatherings from happening, the United Way needed to get those pantry shelves stocked in other ways. Bucks branches hosted drop-off boxes, posted signs, and informed their drive-through customers that they were collecting food donations for this worthwhile cause. This food drive allowed customers and residents to drop off food donations in no-contact environments outside the branches and in the vestibules. We thank our branch employees for stepping up to the plate, and also thank the United Way for helping those in need!
