First Bank was asked to join the Girl Scout Heart of New Jersey council See Her, Be Her career exploration fair that gives Girl Scouts of all ages a chance to meet professional women in a variety of career fields. Girls of all ages K-12 were encouraged to ask the professional women in attendance questions about their lines of work. This fair was designed to allow Girl Scouts girls to meet women in a variety of fields and to give them the opportunity to have small group or one-on-one conversations with professionals.  The intent by Girl Scouts was to have the girls to  start dreaming big about what they want to be when they grow up!  The hope is that by allowing girls to SEE strong individuals,  in these roles, they will be inspired to BE whatever they would like to in the future.  This program was set up like an open house so professionals were stationed at tables and the girls moved around at their own pace.

Other organizations were also present at the career fair, such as the FBI, the police department, an emergency/critical care doctor, the Port Authority, a florist, project manager and many other people from different organizations.

First Bank representatives VP/Compliance Officer, Michelle Mack and Finance & Accounting Assistant, Heley Patel hosted a First Bank table, fielded questions from over 80 Girl Scouts of all ages about banking and various banking careers. They provided banking leaflets, items, and conducted financial literacy to each girl according to their age. Girl leaders and parents were impressed and thankful for the information provided to the young ladies. Michelle Mack also provided each Girl Scout with a Dream Big badge for attending the career fair.
